The Brick Press is a 4-ton hydraulic extraction press machine. The Press must be operated on a hard, level surface, away from its edges to prevent accidental tipping over, or falling down.
APPLICATION: durable, portable, compact, and lightweight high tech bio brick press machine. Can be used to make corn starch bricks, sugar powder bricks, wooden bricks, to extract rosin form pollen bricks, plant extracts, flavorful pollen blocks, tightly packed pellets. Press is made from solid piece of high-grade heavy duty aircraft-grade aluminum. No gaps and seams compared to assembled one. Press operates with a 4 tons (8,000 lb) capacity hydraulic welded bottle jack (included). Does not contain dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
DO IT YOURSELF: our handheld powder brick making press machine allows to get a super dense, highly compressed powder blocks or pollen blocks. Any solid raw material with enough moisture can be pressed.
DIMENSIONS: our brick press is 6" L x 4" W x 12" H. The brick press will make a finished piece that measures approximately 5 x 3 IN.
EASY TO MAKE, no experience needed. Very simple instruction (see below) for creating your pollen bricks. Let your press dry fully before using again. To clean use damp cloth for removing any residue, or rubbing alcohol for more thorough cleanse. Easy to put back together after you do and clean.
- Keep the Press OUT of the reach of CHILDREN at all times.
- DO NOT touch the heated Press without oven mitts. DO NOT MICROWAVE the Press!!
- Let the Press cool down COMPLETELY before cleaning, maintenance, or repeat use.
- Keep your hands and other body parts away from the moving parts of the Press to prevent injury.
Here are some easy-to-follow steps on using the Press to make bricks:
- Assemble the Brick Press (if needed). Set the Jack aside. Make sure the release valve on the jack is in the closed position (please read the jack manual).
- Heat up the Press. Submerge the Press upside down into a pot. Pour water into the pot, but not higher than the middle of the chamber. Boil the water, and let the Press be heated for 10 minutes, OR Preheat the oven to around 170° - 190° F, place the Press inside, and leave it for 10 minutes.
- Remove the Press from the pot/the oven, and put it on a hard, level surface. Please use oven mitts.
- Unscrew the wingnuts (beware not to get burned), and remove both plates.
- Lubricate the inner sides of the chamber and both plates with cloth wetted with grapeseed oil.
- Put the bottom plate inside the chamber. Make sure the hole faces down. (Make sure the hole is downward.)
- Place the jack underneath the chamber. Make sure the piston is aligned with the hole.
- Pour the raw material into the chamber. We recommend filling the chamber at least half.
- Place the upper plate onto the chamber inscription up, and fix it with the wing nuts.
- Assemble the handle of the press, place the handle into the socket, and start to pump up and down until you can no longer put any more pressure on it. To avoid breakage of the Press do not over pump!
- Cool down the Press. Submerge the Press upside down into a pot. Pour icy water into the pot, but not higher than the middle of the chamber. You can also add the ice inside the pot. Watch out for the water level. Leave the Press for 1-2 hours, OR Leave the Press to cool down itself for up to 8 hours.
- Put the Press right side up. Turn the release jack valve SLOWLY (please read the jack manual).
- Unscrew and remove the wingnuts. Place a screwdriver into the socket underneath the upper plate, and take the tip up to move the plate (we recommend using a 3/16” - 1/4” tip flat screwdriver).
- Remove the plate, and fix the chamber without the upper plate with the wing nuts.
- Turn the release valve on the jack in the closed position (please read the jack manual), place the assembled handle into the socket, and start to pump until the bottom plate reaches the edge of the chamber (so you can remove it easily).
- Slide aside the well compressed brick, and it is all set.
- Don’t forget to turn the release jack valve SLOWLY, and to clean up the Press.
- We recommend storing the finished bricks in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place.
CLEANING THE PRESS
Clean the Press after each time of using. For regular cleaning use damp cloth to remove any residue. For more thorough cleanse use rubbing alcohol.
